Hi there, new friend!

My name is Anita, and I'm an illustrator from Slovakia with a background in fashion design.

For eight years I ran my own fashion brand, AWA Clothes (later by Anita Virág). Every collection started with a story and slowly grew into illustrations, patterns, garments, and photoshoots. Somewhere along the way, I realized the part I loved most wasn't making the clothes. It was building the worlds behind them.

So a year ago I decided to close the brand and focus on illustration.

These days you'll usually find me painting with watercolors, experimenting with colour, filling sketchbooks with strange flowers and curious little characters, or making illustrations inspired by the stories I read with my daughter. Some pieces become patterns, some become prints, and some are simply made because they wanted to exist.

My work moves between illustration, pattern design, and visual storytelling. I'm drawn to projects that leave room for imagination, whether that's a picture book, a surface pattern, packaging, editorial illustration, or a visual identity with a story at its heart.
